The anecdote… The suite is named after the color of its exterior walls: the famous Majorelle blue created by the French painter of the same name.In 1937, as he was living in Marrakech, Jacques Majorelle had his studio painted with this light, yet intense ultramarine/cobalt blue which contributed to his fame. The studio and gardens were purchased and rehabilitated by Yves Saint Laurent & Pierre Bergé in 1980 and later became a major tourist attraction in Morocco.
